Off to snorkel at 1:20pm on Wednesday and discover Pablo's plane crash...It's a WWII military transport plane that was once use to fuel Pablo Escobar’s cocaine trade to the USA.
"In 1978 Pablo’s smuggling point man Carlos Lehder gradually began taking over Norman’s Cay from the locals by purchasing small portions of the island. Shortly after, Lehder hustled them out for a full-scale commandeering of the property with the guise of using it as a strategic point for drug runners to rest and refuel on their way to the United States from Colombia.Curtiss C-46 Commando, registration N355BY, from landing well short of the runway in 1980." No pics since I didn't bring my underwater camera but the snorkeling around the plane was very fun. Here's are some images I found though:

We were able to anchor our dinghy right beside it and swim all around it. Tons of cool fish were everywhere. Super fun.
Blogging and checking our emails after 48 hours off the grid....

AND - my birthday celebration:
We MIGHT have had a bit of fun? MY favorite foods day with smoked salmon on blini, shrimp tacos for lunch, and Ahi Tuna for dinner with strawberry shortcake. All Amazing! Hannah is beyond incredible!
THEY then surprised me with a beach bonfire at night. THANK YOU BENNY & DOUG!
SO. MUCH. FUN.
Canapes to start that included smoked mahi and smoked salmon with caviar on blinis
Mussels to start were great:
Hannah putting the finishing touches on my birthday dessert of strawberry shortcakes
And my favorite dinner: AHI TUNA and asparagus!
THEN - they surprised me with a nighttime dinghy ride to the beach where they had set up a bonfire complete with tiki torches and sparklers. We had so much fun!
The dark ride back to the boat:
The nighttime view of our boat as we head back in the dinghy - the boat has blue lights glowing on the bottom at night.
